I got this for Christmas about 3 or 4 years ago and it's sat on my shelves since then.

I started it the other day out of sheer boredom and I'm a bit skeptical - is it worth bothering with or is it overrated?

I've read the first few chapters of the first installment and I'm getting the feeling it could be a load of crap.

I've heard some good things about it - that the first world war one? Made a movie too i believe...

Was it Siegfried Sassoon who wrote 'dulce et decorum est'? Great poem.

Fucking hell, a month later I'm only half way through the first installment - the other night I ended up reading Parker's Used Car Guide instead of opening the book - guess that answers my own question

My company makes software for motor insurance companies and repairers - we have a screen for entering data from Parker's guide.

Glass's is very good too i believe.

Yeah but Glass's is nowhere in the distribution stakes - Parker's is everywhere these days, so i guess it wins simply by being more available. Like fat birds I suppose :)
