Hey people, I'm the person who made mechaspyder just to refresh your memory. Sorry if I havn't been posting here much as I've been busy...

Anyways, check it out kind people. A new game in progress. Let me know what is up.

I was having fun, just got to the level with the stun thing, and a pop-under failed to load but switched focus :bash:. I then quit out of frustration.

My wrist tendons (?) are a bit strained now: I think the controls are too ‘slidy’.

"a pop-under failed to load" there should be no pop ups on my site. in fact i will be furious if my site is generating pop ups.

No, in another window. When a site tries to make a pop-under it gets blocked but focus still switches.

doubt it, probably got nothing to do with your site.

And it is a bit 'slidy', makes it very random and a bit frustrating.

Just goes to show you how the first comment sets the stage for critiques :) the whole point of the game is to make it feel like he is floating around, hence the slidey effect. Any other comments? I have been told I did a good job on the sounds... This game was a lot of work...

I got 98 on my first go. It's a fun game. I really like the idea of it and the way the levels vary. Catching things with your oponent is fun and a nice change of level. Will probably try again at a later stage.

Cool game, and I think the controls are fine.

It would be good if you could chose to play as either the black guy or the white guy though.

Suggestions:

On level 4, could the opponent's pursuit of you be slighlty lessened? It's very easy just to string him a long and collect all blobs.

On level 10, could the opponent's idle behaviour be changed to hovering near the middle instead of at the very bottom? As it is it's a bit easy to beat because anything in the top half is automatically yours, since he goes down whenever there are no blobs on screen.

The sounds are fine, but I was listening to a hockey game webcast and they got in the way. :) I can safely say that your game was better than that hockey game. Seriously, though, I like it. I have no objection to the controls. They're simple, and the slidiness makes the game more challenging. Especially for those of us who suck.

In the Hall of Fame, there's a clicky bit near the top which doesn't do anything. It would be nice to have a play again button.
