The BBC just showed a trailer for Leon with the music from Amelie.

Leon = Besson movie about a hit man, fairly noir and violent, crap music IMO from Eric Serra
Amelie = feel good oddball comedy, music by Yann Tiersen (very distinct, pretty good)

OK. Probably had to see it to get it.

Leon's a great film. Have been meaning to watch Amelie 'cause everyone says how good it is but haven't yet.

it's witty and charming, even for a heterosexual male

Funny how they do that.

Someof my favourite Takeshi Kitano films were renamed to give them a bit more american appeal.

For instance '3-4 x son jugatsu' (which refers to a baseball score) was renamed 'Boiling Point' when released in America.

And it's especially fun when the titles aren't even closesly related. Unless of course that was a movie about an egg boiling contest or something.

When the BBC were promoting Star Trek: Enterprise they used the music from the film of Lost in Space. :)
