The half-keyboard (http://www.halfkeyboard.com/halfkeyboard/index.html). I checked out the demo program, and it's actually pretty neat. It's not as difficult to learn as you might think (I probably got around 20 wpm on my first try right-handed). Basically how it works is that you type normally for half of the keyboard, and when you want to use the other half, you keep the space bar pressed down. They also have a full keyboard (http://www.halfkeyboard.com/halfqwerty/index.html) that can function as a half keyboard, and a wrist-mounted (http://www.halfkeyboard.com/wearable/index.html) keyboard so that you can "interact" with your "Palm" in public. I'm not sure what the difference between the wearable one and the regular half-keyboard is (except for the straps and, presumably, a sturdier back), but whatever it is, it's worth US$200 extra.

Here's another expensive toy: a Radiation Detection Watch (http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/5cef/), clocking in at US$1500.

Also, the Logitech io Digital Pen (http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/5c38/), which remembers everything you write and lets you upload it to your computer, and which sets you back almost US$200.

And while we're at it, I might as well mention the Ambient Orb Device (http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/5da2/), which changes its colour based on input from a US-wide wireless network. Input options include stock fluctuations, weather in certain cities, or, for extra money, pollen count and IM buddy watch. You can customise the colour change, too (the link suggests space remaining on your hard drive and credit card debt, among other things). I'd use it to keep track of my marks, I think.

mmmm. Wanking keyboard

The radiation watch is only about double the cost of a decent handheld geiger counter, IIRC. I ordered one a couple of years ago for the lab.

I was thinking that the half keyboard might be nice to help keep down my wrists from bothering me. You should be able to ge a much more ergo friendly angle for use.
