This probably won't publish properly 'cause I don't know how to get the image below 10K, managed 10.8K so I hope that will work. Anyway, it'll be here.

Great when I published it it converted Sean's fancy punctuation marks to Question marks... What a bunch of Twat.

Debaser

That was really funny, particularly KG's 'Skanking' comment. I think I should probably take more than 10 minutes over my reviews next time though.

Bollocks, I'm missing Starsky and Hutch!

I'm shocked that the clown song wasn't a joke.

Funkodrom
04-04-2003, 10:31:16
Your review of that is my favourite individual review out of the whole lot. It stopped me dead every time I was editing it 'cause I was laughing so much.

I don't know what was going through my head liking that ska song, I listened to it again and I still don't hate it.

This whole LWP thing is an excellent idea.

Well compiled Mr Drom.

Damn, I thought all of the classical/weirdo folk tracks were submitted by the same person. Bugger.

Er, this was my least fav section overall. Things will only get better from here!

Scabrous Birdseed
04-04-2003, 11:15:14
Who do we send next week's reviews to?

protein
04-04-2003, 11:17:39
Weirdo folk? you mean the reggae?

Funkodrom
04-04-2003, 11:19:21
I don't know. But I have BGH's reviews for all the tracks.

Track 9 is my favourite song that wasn't submitted by me.

CG is using the wrong character set, combined with Opera being a bit poor.

And I won! Because I guessed track 2 was SB! Because I was trying to piss him off!

Funkodrom
04-04-2003, 11:30:50

That's great. You did win it by a single guess, Laz didn't get Debaser for the last track which won it for you. I was getting excited adding them all up. :D

Sean
04-04-2003, 11:32:55
I thought it was Debaser because of the film.

Funkodrom
04-04-2003, 11:37:36
Damn... I have to ask, which film?

Sean
04-04-2003, 11:38:13
Next week is Debaser: http://www.counterglow.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=10573

Also, is there some mystical quality to track number 9? protein loves the CD 2 one, Funkodrom loves the CD 1 one.

So did anyone download my kindly provided extra track?

Funkodrom
04-04-2003, 11:46:26
No but I've downloaded Thursday tracks before 'cause they sounded like something I'd like from their write ups but I was really disappointed with them.

Sean
04-04-2003, 11:57:48
Debaser and Funkodrom: I’m Gonna Git You Sucka.

Funkodrom
04-04-2003, 11:59:33
Oh, Debaser I have my dad's Godfather Trilogy on DVD if you want to borrow it. Just watch the first two.

Lazarus and the Gimp
04-04-2003, 13:09:34
OK Sean. Can you describe what track 5 sounded like on your CD? I'd love to know.

Scabrous Birdseed
04-04-2003, 13:48:37
So who was the most misguessed person of the segment overall? I reckon it was either me or Mr. Bas...

Funkodrom
04-04-2003, 13:50:17
The person who guessed the fewest correct?

protein I think. He did totally random guesses and only got 1 correct. You and Bas both got at least 2.

My song was guessed as mine by the fewest people, only Shakey.

Scabrous Birdseed
04-04-2003, 14:03:32
No, no, the person most people guessed tracks were chosen by, when they in fact weren't. Like everyone guessed Sean on Laz's song.

Funkodrom
04-04-2003, 14:09:00
Oh right, I don't have statistics for that. Please feel free to compile them.

protein
04-04-2003, 14:13:52
I guessed that the nice choral tune was Ghidra's and he guessed me. What does that say?

I guessed Debaser's right.

Funkodrom
04-04-2003, 14:46:35
When that happened I tried to put the reviews of those people together, if it seemed to make sense.

.

I heard the same track, but I have a (possibly not mentioned before) distaste for choral music. To put it politely.

Debaser
04-04-2003, 16:06:05
*ruffles Sean's hair* There there, I thought it was pretty obvious you were taking the piss.

Funkodrom
04-04-2003, 16:08:19
So did I until I got Laz's response. Oh well.

Sean
04-04-2003, 16:09:44
Yay, yet more condescension from Debaser!

Debaser
04-04-2003, 16:14:03
"Condescension", that's a big word isn't it Sean. Do you know any other big words?

Funkodrom

that despite the somewhat fractious nature of our relationship we have some kind of mutual respect for each other :)

i must say the most disturbing moment of this whole LWP so far has been RC guessing that i submitted that piece of ska tripe from Provost :vom:

Done, and I ‘win’ again. SB almost won it with the last track, and I may have mis-counted. Also, Bas and I didn’t have tracks in that section. Neither did Ghidra or protein, but they are mid-table and below.

Sean: 8
Scabrous Birdseed: 7
Mr. Bas: 7
Lazarus and the Gimp: 6
Debaser: 5
Resource Consumer: 4
King_Ghidra: 4
The Shaker: 3
Funkodrom: 3
protein: 2
*End Is Forever*: 2
Provost Harrison: 1

Compare with the results of this poll (http://www.counterglow.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=11578).

When compiling these I noticed just how many people guessed me for the track that drove me to actually make up a completely different track and review it just so I didn’t think about the actual track.

Sean

Surrently putting the guesses into a spreadsheet for fun statistics time!

Holy shit! Thanks for telling me you were submitting reviews a bit at a time. I was in the penalty box over that one.

Good work on the songs and the writing...very "diverse" set of tunes. I wouldn't have had a clue who picked what, and didn't want to make an ass of myself. But I probably would have at least tied for last.

I'm surprised at a couple of you...goes to show how different people are. We're all over the boards.

No problem, Funky...I have a swelling feeling of achievement where there is usually a sense of impending deadline and doom!
:)
And thanks again to Sean for sending the discs! No return address, so I can't send something in thanks.

It had "inspected by US customs" stamped and taped all over it...yikes! I hope I'm not on some "Euro sympathizer" list now.

I get the impression that ska "musicians" and their fans would be full of bluster, but quite easily beaten up.

Voodoo Glowskulls aren't ska; it's shit hardcore with a brass section.
