With portabella mushrooms, yellow pepper, onion, and provolone cheese. Smothered it in hot sauce and ketchup and ate marmite on a piece of 7-grain toast on the side. Very satisfying.

I'd like to turn this into a poll:

Should I go to the cafeteria for dinner?

( ) Yes, you can't subsist on bread products alone.
( ) No, it's more important to stay in the Zone
( ) I hope you die so I can eat you.

pros of going to the cafeteria:
- I get a break from homework
- There is some chance that I'll have real food to eat instead of a pre-packaged turkey sandwich and a pepperoni cheese stick
- I'll be able to get an ice cream thing
- There might be a huge orgy going on (although I always seem to miss them; I think it's a conspiracy)
- I'll be able to get more prepackaged sandwiches for later tonight, and won't have to eat jam on bread

cons of going to the cafeteria:
- I'm extraordinarily lazy, and it's about two minutes walk away
- I'm not really hungry right now
- It would waste twenty minutes that I could spend on homework
- I've got an image of how my homework should turn out, and I dont want to lose it
- I just know that the orgy would finish up as soon as they saw me paying for my meal
- I would have to put on my shoes, after taking them off earlier this afternoon
- My fingers might freeze up if I don't keep typing
- I would bring my book to read, finish in the middle of a chapter, and not be able to concentrate on homework when I got back home
- I really stink

In case anyone is wondering, it's apricot jam!

Sultan Bhargash

You stink of apricot jam?

I'd say go to cafeteria, it will make you feel better.

Sir Penguin

I'd never listen to anyone with Michael Jackson in his avatar.

Further con: I haven't shaved in a week, which makes me look like some sort of grotesque 16-year-old who thinks his unbalanced, patchy facial hair makes him cool.

Leave mouldy sandwiches lying around for a few days, then subsist on rats.

Killing people never makes me feel better, contrary to what seems to be the norm. :(

Sir Penguin
04-04-2003, 02:06:29
I actually have a massive pile of garbage on my floor that is supposed to attract rats. Unfortunately, they can't seem to climb the wall up to my window. I hadn't thought past the catching part, though, thanks for the idea!

04-04-2003, 02:06:39
You should never feel good about killing people.

More relaxed, definitely, good no.

04-04-2003, 02:11:38
Don't make it too easy for the rats to get into your room.

You only want the intelligent rats, that way when you eat thier brains, you will grow smarter and smarter.

You guys have really turned my dinner thread to shit.

04-04-2003, 03:06:35
At least we didn't turn your shit thread to dinner.

Sultan Bhargash
04-04-2003, 03:07:13
In a minute or two you'll have my puke thread to look forward to.

04-04-2003, 03:08:03
Don't turn your back.

04-04-2003, 03:09:00
No, I'm turning my stomach.

Sir Penguin
04-04-2003, 03:39:04
I'm sorry, SB. :(

Look on the bright side, now you can put it in the thread of threads that suck!

04-04-2003, 03:46:11
We may need to rename this forum.

Sir Penguin
04-04-2003, 03:56:02
Countersuck? That would be like FFZ naming their offtopic forum FFZ, or Apolyton naming their offtopic forum Boring Political Crap, or CFC naming their offtopic forum the Playground. Maybe we should call our OT CounterSunk.

We could just call it: Threads that Suck

Made a multigrain dough, about 75% white bread flour & 25% 11 other grains, with garlic and herbs in it. Put it in a deep cast iron skillet with some olive oil and shape it up the side. Fry the botteom a little then into the oven with a little water in the bottom of the oven to make steam. cook it about halfway then put on the toppings. Layer of cheese; think layer of sausage topping (carmelized onion and Itlalian sausage, spinach, cooked, then simmer with wine and herbs, reduce the wine, add tomatos and reduce until the suace is thick); then more cheeses, and finish baking.

I make an olive, rosemary, and garlic foccacia every now and then. Usually I put some sliced tomato, sweet roasted pepper, and asiago cheese on top.

I believe self biased posted a picture of a similar pizza of mine (maybe a little less deep) and some other pictures about 10 months ago, but I cannot remeber the thread title or any key words.

I actually am going to make an omelette for dinner tonight. Probably. Unless I'm too tired when I get home, in which case I'll have it for breakfast tomorrow.

Mine will involve onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese. I will probably eat the bacon separately, but I may decide to toss it in with the rest. It will be consumed with a so-called "English muffin", or possibly two as well. If I'm feeling really ambitious I might go ahead and make hash browns or some close equivalent.

This weekend I'm making turkey breast with stuffing and mashed potatoes. Who says you have to wait for Thanksgiving? :)

Good job Lefty- I'm not at the confidence level of making my own dough yet, let alone having the cleverness to fry the bottom some first. I'll bet it was fantastic.

I ate pancakes for tea.

Or LIBERTY CAKES as I prefer to call them, loudly.

I make them myself, and the dog gets one too. (a pancake that is)

In Great Great Britain, we put jam on them.

(Which is known oddly as jelly to our mighty US allies)

What do they put on pancakes in communist communist China?

3" thick it's not a pizza!

What did SP go, did he go to the canteen? Did he get involved in an orgy?

Sir Penguin

I have no idea whatsoever.

I really hope they have goats cheese back on the menu in the sandwich shop.

I hate reading a thread, only to find out it's almost 2 years old. Why did funko bump this thread?

21-02-2005, 14:51:48
I didn't!!! The goat people did. I thought it was new.

I just went back to the beginning of the goat threads and it showed up in the normal page of threads with all the others!

21-02-2005, 14:52:51
Ah, ok, so the evil management has deleted the bumping post.

21-02-2005, 15:03:21
But it can be fun to go back just to annoy ;)

21-02-2005, 15:18:04
Anyway, I demand to know if SP got involved in an orgy or just missed it (again).
