Wish I'd been able to go and see them.

IIRC, I told you about the date at the Astoria well before they sold out, and you stalled on it. No doubt they'll be back soon, probably playing Brixton Academy and suchlike. Look out for them! :)

Mental note to self: Don't wear J.E.W. t-shirt when visiting Reading...

They (J.E.W) got slated by our student paper, they were described as having more tatoo's than chords, and wheatus wannabe's. (or was it weezer, I always get them mixed up :o)

Weezer good, Wheatus bad. :D

It was probably Weezer.

I got Weezer's green album and I really liked it. I found out like a week later that it was actually Wheatus' album I was after.

 You are probably better off with Weezer, great album that. :D

Um... AFAIK neither Weezer nor Wheatus have any tattoos at all. On seeing J.E.W. on the television my mum said "at least they look normal"...

I think the paper was implying that JEW were musically wanting to be Weezer rather than wanting to have tattoos like them.

Oh, I misread... it's bollocks anyway, apart from the odd song Jimmy are barely comparable to Weezer. Anyway, our student newspaper is rather kinder to Jimmy... but then, I did write the article... :D

I don't generally like other people's reviews of music, I find they invariably get it wrong as a rule. The only way is to listen yourself.

Yep true. I hate the way people try to argue with you about music too. Like when they say a certain genre is crap. It's just taste at the end of the day.

Except UK Garage. That is shit.

Actually, I'm warming to (some) UK garage. Not So Solid Crew or Misteeq or Craig David or any of the other disco-pop-lite nonsense, but The Streets' new album is actually not bad. Hip-hop-spoken-word-breakbeat-garage-toast-dub.

I think Snapcase needs a spot of re-education :shoot:
