Here's another reason: lately, I get a ton of "page not available" and other similar messages when I type in or link to a site. It's like it is broken or something? MIE works fine, but AOL can't browse to save its life.
What is that all about?

Somebody's broken the Internet again!

Is this an intermittent thing? If so, it's probably AOL's fault and it will just go away if you wait long enough (like, until they're bought by IBM or something).

Yeah...I hate them...but what alternative is better and will be in business for long?
Can't get cable cause my whole complex gets free cable and I'd expose us as the shiftless leeches we are if I brought the installation guy in (I think?).
I like Explorer better as a browser...any other good ones out there?

Phoenix (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/phoenix/).

(As this is the geek forum, I will point out that this sometimes gets floats drastically wrong, but anyone who is using them will probably work around it anyway. I still like IE6, personally, although I dearly wish they would add support for application/xhtml+xml and the like.)

Personally, I'd rather take my chances than deal with another national dial-up ISP.

For web browsing, I use Mozilla in all its bloated glory. :)

The funny thing is that AOL-TW is a backer of Mozilla development.
