OK, I think I'm going soppy in my old age, but I saw a very nice "chick flick" last night.

A French film about a girl called Amelie who one day finds a box containing some memorabilia that a little boy hid when he was about 8 years old. She then makes it her mission to find him and return it 40 odd years later. From then on she becomes something of a do-gooder.

Very touching, very funny, and best of all very French.

Highl;y recommended if you want to score well with the missus and not bore yourself to tears.

Oh, I followed it afterwards with "the Ring" (original), by way of ballance

So you scored well with the missus then followed up with the ring?

to get rid of her after the coitum

The best thing for me about this film was that I saw it without really knowing what to except, just have seen it briefly on the TV a couple of months before it was released.

Obviously not a traditional country girl where you have to offer the ring first and then score...

i don't think funkdrom meant he offered her a ring so much as she offered him her ring

how does it go, 'she offered her honour, he honoured her offer, and all night long it was honour and offer'?

Excellent movie, I think it's quite funny.

Plus I like the colours. Green, yellow, red, black

:hmm: A Freedom film, huh?

actually, it will end up looking like that france = freedom, which was not exactly their point...
