If you read his previous (debut) work Salt, then you too will be earger to pick up a copy of On.

Salt was set on a world whose surface was entirely covered in Sodium Chloride, this new tale is entirely set on a world that is a wall. Verticality is the name of the game. I've only just started this book, but so far he manages again to make what sounds like a totally implausable world- plausable, and he does it with the sensitivity, fantastic imagery and depth of Salt, although not quite as poeticaly.

Can't really say more at this point- the rest you'd have to find out for yourself.

Brilliant! absolutely mind-blowing, the twist at the end is literaly fantastic!

Do yourselves a favor, and read this book. I'm not joking- this is one of the most powerful ideas I have encountered in science fiction since... flight? I can't wait till there are others who have read this book, so I can talk about it properly, and talk about the way things turned out to be etc. READ THIS BOOK DAMN YOU!!!!
