CM is better than CM, which is for nerds.

CM is a turn-based strategy game with a complex battle engine and a wealth of accurate weapons statistics.

CM, OTOH, is a game with bloody tanks and shit.

what number? Are you referring to CM2, CM2, CM3 or the soon to be released CM4?

CM:BO would seem to refer to the ‘remember to wash’ message in CM 01/02.

this is confusing, since I, for a start, play and talk about both extensively

I'll try to refer to Combat Mission by talking CMBO or CMBB (the two games of the series) and to Championship Manager by it's version (it's CM4 now).

Anyway, sure rule : if it's 44, it's CMBO, and if it's 442 it's CM4

Never a truer word spoken.

Whatever it is you meant.

I still think theres a market for a combined football/war game.

Possible options include tank advances in 4-4-2 formation and goalkeepers equiped with heavy machine guns
