Watched this yesterday for the first time. Great film. Al Pacino is great. Supposedly a true story as well... might look into that. At the start I was wondering what was so special about the bank robbery that made it worth making a film out of... it certainly surprised me all the way through.

Pacino used to be a wonderfully subtle actor. Unfortunately after about 1982 he turned into a right old ham.

Good to know that someone is still catching up with CLASSICS.
I think I saw it couple of times in theaters back in early '80s, and they pass it on TV 1-2 times a year...

Then I warmly suggest you see Scarecrow (http://www.imdb.com/Title?0070643).
