Why so sad?

Can't play, no time, bad connection, really poor mouse click skills.

Sounds fun. If I had everything I wanted I'd be playing this and Ultima Online. The real world just gets in the way.

The mouse clicking skills are useful but not really what the game is about. My unit control skills are better than most people I've ever played against, but the real heart of the game is managing the economy and expansions. Anyway, that's just practise.

Finish your thesis and you'll probably find you can make time. The game will still be here for you. (I have a good friend who finished his project off and has had time to catch up on a whole lot of gaming he had to miss while working).

Work on Diablo 2 v1.10 delayed because of QA work on W3Ex! :D

This is just ridiculous. :bouncmsk:

Shining1

MT: That's just a nasty rumour:D.

Mightytree

Yes, possibly. It wouldn't surprise me if it was true though.

And Frankly I don't really care. My interest in v1.10 is really fading ... :)

They help though. I get beaten in battles before I can cast any spells for instance. :(

My wife is interviewing for an FDA job today in Rockville, Maryland. If it goes well, she'll be graduating and starting a 40 hour a week + government benefits and holidays job while I finish up here in Ohio (I'll be HIGHLY motivated if she's out of town). Hopefully I'll find something interesting and equally light on hours. Then I can reclaim my lost childhood. :)

Sounds good. Congrates to your wife, too:).

Well, the name of the new heroes and some of the new units have already found their way to the 'net. I just hope they nerf the damn casters and do something about large armour.

Ellipsis just summed up the whole communities thoughts, I think.

Yeah, turn my steam tanks into challengers.

Shining1

Like the space shuttle?

Funkodrom

Not our fault they stole the name. :D

Shining1
27-01-2003, 04:29:27
You already have exploding steam tanks...:D

Funkodrom
27-01-2003, 09:25:35
I haven't built a steam tank for ages, even when I was playing.

Oh and I might be able to play again 1st/2nd March weekend, possibly not until the weekend after though.

I'll try and keep that clear. Mose, TauCeti, et al, pay attention:).

Funkodrom
28-01-2003, 09:25:42
MoSe's playing now?

Shining1

Opps. I'm getting my Europeans confused again.

Shining1

Ah hey! Our 'star' player is up for it:).

Funkodrom
29-01-2003, 12:37:37
Star?

No promises about that weekend anyway. You guys can all play though.

I might be around this Saturday as well. I haven't touched the game for months. So expect me to be even shitter than normal.

Shining1

(If that's a 100-0 nil attempt you are more dead than you were when you said that thing to Venom that offended him at the wedding.)

Cool, just message me when/if you're around and want a game, my schedule is fairly easy going at the moment.

Funkodrom
29-01-2003, 13:31:08
Oh no, I get it now. I just didn't make the connection. I didn't say it to Venom, I said it to everyone else about Venom. And he only would have killed me if I said it in my speech. :D

Yeah, tough life having nothing to do all day every day isn't it. :D

Shining1
29-01-2003, 14:35:30
Absolutely hideous. Now if only someone would pay me to do this, my hell would be complete:D.

Funkodrom
29-01-2003, 14:37:24
Aren't the government paying you? :cute:

Shining1
29-01-2003, 14:39:34
Correction noted. We'll have to get you all back here just so you can give your speech again:D.

Shining1
29-01-2003, 14:41:39
Okay but I want a pay rise, dammit!

Funkodrom
29-01-2003, 14:43:13
No, wouldn't be funny again. I wouldn't get to see your brother and Orlon's faces looking shocked.

Don't do any work harder!

Shining1
29-01-2003, 14:47:49
So you can say something else, I'm sure there's plenty more where that came from:D.

MoO2 is a bit too much like work sometimes.

Btw, a rock star is like an asteroid, isn't it?:D

Funkodrom
29-01-2003, 14:53:33
We'd have to spend another month together collecting material and who could stand that?

Yes, more like the the 80s game Asteroids, looks shit but's really cool, fun and addictive.

Shining1

The world needs more concepts like the JBD:D.

We had a brilliant version of that on the school Mac computers. Best game of simple physics and guns ever.
