It\'s going to be out on June 21st this year in the UK, US, Australia and in the english language in many other countries apparently.

34% longer than the last book as well so it could take a couple of hours to finish.

255,000 words?! Long book! No wonder it's taken her so long to finish writing it.

and she had to invent most of those words herself as well.

I finally got to watch Harry Potter II last night. On the whole I liked it better than the first one. However I found that the DoBee very anoying and all that self mutilation disturbing for a "children"s" film. And what the hell is up with that possesed car and the spiders? That intervention was just stupid. Since I have not read the book I do realize that there might be an explaingation in there. HA!

It followed the book very well.

Apparently, some house elves punish themselves in her world. Don't worry, most aren't so freaky. At least so far. Consider more a reflection of the darkness of the family they serve.

The car was needed as a plot device to save them. It was a plot device in the book as well, but there was a bit more about how muggle things enchanted anthromorphorized and took on the characteristics of its maker and users. Since it was Ron's dad that made the car, and it was Ron's family, and they are all nice people that turn into heroes when the going gets tough... its very lightly implied the car will as well. Pretty thin connection though. As I said before, need plot device.

Er, I've run out of good excuses to mention AnnC in every forum. Bugger.

I told my sister i wanted to be in Snivelling. She told me it was called Slithering.

Life is full of these small embarassments.

:nervous:

I used to think Newsround was decent enough new programme, but then it started having daily Harry Potter news.

Newsround rules. The little subtitles pointing out various aspects of the report currently on are pure comedy gold.

Newsround has really gone downhill recently.
