This book by M John Harrison is pretty good. I felt obliged to mention it here, its Banksy/Reynoldish type stuff, but this is the guy who inspired Banks to write like Banks. The story line was okay, some beutiful lines in it, I just wasn't as impressed with this guy as I am with Banks or Reynolds, although Banks is certainly a big fan of his (that's why I bought it) And there's way too much sex in it, I pick up a sci-fi book to be told a rip-roaring tale of daring do and sarcastic robots, not to have some middle-aged bearded guy try to turn me on every two damn pages, its embarresing, when I want that I simply buy Naughty Neighbours or, Playboy or sumthin...

Erm...

All in all, its all right, give it a try.

, there's a picture of the author on the back, he looks like a hippy, or a biker or something (long flowy hair and a beard)

yes your right, my mistake- I noticed that myself last night when I glanced at the cover. I was trying not to confuse him with that Beatles guy, and became convinced I was doing so...

anyway

I take it you've read the book then.
