They're coming to my university in a few weeks, are they worth $30CDN to go see live?

CND$30 is worth how much?

They're meant to be quite good live, providing they play more of their old stuff. The latest album is terrible Travis-lite, but as UK indie goes the first two albums were pretty good.

So...... maybe. :lol:

$30CDN == $18US. I don't know what that's like in pounds. :)

12? That's cheap compared to what you'd have to pay to see them here. Mind you they don't play Unis here, just enormodomes. :D

I quite like their old stuff, not so keen on the new stuff as EIF mentioned it's a bit lame (nowhere near as bad as the abomination that Travis have become though). Seen them live a couple of times at festivals.

I don't know if this is the right place for this but I stumbled across this site and it is the best of its type that I have ever seen.

I think it is brilliant.

I am now playing the selections in the background. Way cool.

Yeah, I quite like their older stuff, although the lead singers voice gets on my nerves quite quickly. As for the newer stuff, eughhh. The number of times I have had to endure their recent Rod Stewart cover and it is f**king awful. As well as the other songs I have heard off their most recent album. Ah well, that's selling out for you ;)

They didn't "sell out" as such. They would've sold more records if they'd have stuck to the Performance and Cocktails formula. Hell, even I own that album... can't say I've listened to it for a while though.

I own the first two, but I too have not listened to them for a while, probably well over a year in fact.
